Miniature Ice Cream Party
If you know me well, you know I have this weird obsession with miniatures--I love tiny versions of regular things. So when I found these adorable, scalloped egg cups, I bought them with one purpose in mind. And the purpose was not eggs (because I hate hard-boiled eggs). Nope, I thought they would make the cutest ice cream dishes, and thus, the miniature ice cream party was hatched. And what better month to host than July, National Ice Cream Month?!
All the serving sizes were perfect and allowed guests to try one of everything without feeling as though they were overindulging, and everything is just so much cuter when it's tiny! There's a reason everyone loves puppies and babies, right? Because they're tiny and therefore, adorable.
My only tip for you as you host your own miniature ice cream party this summer is to either have everything all ready and in the freezer to be brought out all at once if you want a display, or just allow you guests to make their own mini sandwiches and sundaes because these small amounts of ice cream melt VERY VERY quickly! Happy National Ice Cream Month! How are you planning to celebrate?
I used chewy chips ahoy cut even smaller with a biscuit cutter for my cookie ice cream sandwiches.
To make the mini ice sandwiches I literally just cut a regular-sized ice cream sandwich into sixths, stuck a lollipop stick inside, and rolled it in star sprinkles--so easy!
